# Browsers

Tooluse.net runs cloud Chromium sessions that you control through HTTP actions or a returned CDP connection. Each session belongs to the authenticated application.

curl -X POST "https://api.tooluse.net/v1/browsers/sessions" \
 -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOOLUSE_API_KEY" \
 -H "Idempotency-Key: tooluse-example-001" \
 -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
 -d '{"timeout":300,"browserSettings":{"viewport":{"width":1280,"height":720}}}'

Store the returned
id
as
SESSION_ID
. Read it to reconcile an uncertain create result; reuse the same idempotency key only for the same intended request. Release the session when finished.

curl -X POST "https://api.tooluse.net/v1/browsers/sessions/$SESSION_ID" \
 -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOOLUSE_API_KEY" \
 -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
 -d '{"status":"REQUEST_RELEASE"}'

See Create a browser session and the Browsers API for authentication, request fields, and limits.
