# Manage a browser session

Read a session to reconcile its durable status and usage. Session IDs are scoped to the application key; they are not public access tokens.

curl "https://api.tooluse.net/v1/browsers/sessions/$SESSION_ID" \
 -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOOLUSE_API_KEY"

List with
GET /v1/browsers/sessions?page=1&size=20
. Release through a session update:

curl -X POST "https://api.tooluse.net/v1/browsers/sessions/$SESSION_ID" \
 -H "Authorization: Bearer $TOOLUSE_API_KEY" \
 -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
 -d '{"status":"REQUEST_RELEASE"}'

Release is idempotent. Disconnecting a CDP client does not prove that a keep-alive session ended; read it back and explicitly release it. View a running session using the URL returned by its debug endpoint, rather than constructing a console URL.
